About Us

UHUBSO is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit making organization aiming to enhance the well-being of the people of Somaliland.

Our aims and objectives centres on:

• Empower and encourage participation in the reconstruction and development of Somaliland.
• Help provide the opportunity of education for children who are the victims of war.
• Raise the awareness of the needs of the Somaliland people internationally.
• Assist in the repairs, restoration and maintenance of the Health Care facilities in Somaliland.
• Promote a sustainable environmental policy in the Somaliland.
• Initiate a Community Development program for vulnerable groups, e.g. Women, Children and Disabled.
  
• Provision of humanitarians assistance, health care service, rehabilitation and development aid and assistance to the  most disadvantaged children, victims of war, disasters, extreme poverty and famine victims in Somaliland communities. 
• Advancement of the education of the public and as regards the plight of the forgotten children of the Somaliland to  build a hope and a future for a generation of illiterate.
• Protection of Somaliland environment from decertification, burning of the forests, uprooting of trees for charcoal,  dumping of waste and nuclear from abroad, poaching of wildlife, foreign fishing vessels and preservations of land for  agricultural usage and animal husbandry.

We feel that the problems of the region are little understood by the international community and that it is our duty to highlight the plight of the people there. We also strongly believe that welfare of the region is a responsibility of all people from Somaliland.

UHUBSO is now internationally registered charity.
